Or the voice of the mechanical click. It is just fantastic. Heavy. It is undoubtedly a material sound. I have been thinking a bit about the direction that I would like my photography to take in the future. I am not sure yet. I have a vague sense, but I could not articulate my thoughts with or without certainty. Too early. I do know that I would like my photos to evoke other media, to summon the senses that are associated with other media, such as painting, sounds, cinema, etc. The photos above were taken with my digital, but I have been playing with my Pentax K1000 much more lately. I have not developed any of the three rolls that I have taken. Excited. A tad anxious. I have already started a fourth roll. Excited. A tad anxious. I want that a clear sense of realism be ascribed to my photographs, but an abstract rather than mimetic realism. What do I mean by that? I am not sure yet.
