In honor of my very first follower. Yay! She is a lovely lady whom I met in graduate school. She now lives in Santa Cruz, where she also teaches and is the proud mama of an adopted wonderful dog. She once knitted winter socks for me. What a lovely gesture to knit anything for anyone! They are orange, a brightly warm orange. When winter comes, they remind me of her rosy cheeks and her rumbustiously happy laughter. (Pentax K1000)

They are holding up very well. They are too pretty for me to use them too liberally. But when I do wear them, they perform their function very effectively. Muchos besitos a ti también!
