Taken the afternoon we came back from our weekend away in the Hudson Valley, a small town just two hours away from NYC by train. People express their desire to escape the bustle of the city on the weekends. While I certainly do not share the sentiment, I am not event sure I can quite understand it. What cannot be disputed is that Hudson Valley is not Manhattan. Once we surfaced to the street from the subway station, we were met with countless unknown faces, varying volumes and kinds of noises, and the reaffirmed sense that either you love living in NYC or you don't. There is no middle ground. This is not a place that allows you to put up with it.
