Last Friday's lunch

Rarely do we get to share lunch during weekdays, but last Friday we made an exception. So an specially delicious treat was in order. A beer. A glass of Grenache Syrah. Two burgers. A Chicago hotdog. And fries. At first, the sun was out so I had wonderful natural light for interesting shots. But the light did not last. Soon the blue sky was covered with grey clouds that pointed ominously to imminent rain, which, by the way, never arrived. All in all, it was a dreamy lunch.

As always, these photos have been untouched since I am yet to learn how to fix contrast and crop and so forth. The difference between photograph one and two is the result solely of how my lenses position themselves vis-a-vis the light from the sun and the aimed object/frame. My technical knowledge of photography is insufficient for me to understand why one and two are so different, but the difference of color and tone is quite striking nonetheless.
