These were taken

One of the first warm and incredibly sunny days we had the last week of February. These images were taken with my Pentax K1000. As I held my camera, I simply could not believe my senses. Light. Warmth. Color. Eyes that would squint to escape the bold rays of the sun. I could almost smell the flowers that were yet to blossom and flaunt their colors. Flowers there were not. But there was plenty of timid, newly born expressions of color.

I am coming to realize that one ought not to glance at photographs. Images captured mechanically or digitally demand attention and time. Asking to be observed, they invite our gazes to linger on each of the lines, shapes, and colors that populate them.
