The abstract in the concrete

How can I capture the specificity of abstraction in the concrete quotidian? How can I capture a tree in such a way that the viewer sees many things before recognizing the tree? How can I pose my gaze on lines, patterns, and shapes while never ceasing to recognize that such lines, patterns, and shapes are embodied in actualized everyday existence? How to constellate that which our busy, ill-trained eyes oversee or undersee most of the time? My initial very partial answer is that the frame contains more than half the answer.
