His name, of the artist, I mean. I do remember that it was a he. I was impressed with the number of galleries that such a small town had. I was aware that Hudson Valley is well known for its antique shops, but the art scene is pretty dynamic as well, especially for a community of that size. Our B+B host informed us that Hudson Valley had been, already for a long time, a favorite locations for painters. The reason is found, he added, in the kind of natural light that can be found in that region of NY. I have not found any other source to corroborate the veracity of this claim, but I have no reasons to doubt him.
