About a month ago my sister and I went to LACMA for a rather quick visit. I am yet to see the majority of the museum. That afternoon, however, I saw plenty of light, followed or preceded by shadows, especially in the exterior where massive structures stand still with no obvious narrative attached to them, but certainly not meaninglessly.
