In April of last year, when we were still living in NYC he and I had an unexpected trip to LA for rather unhappy reasons. These are some of the first analogues I captured during that trip and in LA. I am slowly beginning to appreciate palm trees. They are awkward looking, arguably purposeless as they offer no sustainable respite from the sun, but they are starting to make a bit more sense to me.
